Eating the Weird

it's not precisely a migraine day, though the disconnect holds sway
and the brain is weird, a blearing veer into the importance of wearing one ��s fortune in one ��s ears
enough to afford one ��s burial
and the chicken cabbage soup-stew is mostly gone, so
roll the dice, a random pull against the pool
tucked in below export array, spreadsheet ��s internals gone golden
dice think I'm still in Midwest hell without real vegetables
a table hidden in the folds of lamentation where kimchi will always be off
the peppers gone to waxen heat without respite, flavors dulled, ambiguated
commentary on contemplation, nation wrapped up in sweet, sweet division
a binary facial spear �� and here, well gardened and replete
need to update the dice
each preparation begins as numbers ordered
claiming iteration a pewling congregation
seated prior to that original kin
laving in sauce like carded wool
outside, barn full, comfortable sheep
well relieved and baaing
lanolin tick lanolin
and one �� vinegar - hit me
and two �� cardamom �� uh, OK, hit me
and three �� four items in order I don't have �� hit, hit, hit, hit me
and four �� gazpacho �� h �� ?
on should always self-assess in discontinuity

gazpacho is a finished thing, something you use a recipe to get to
but we ��ve already �� we being you and I �� garnered a four item hit
not like it ��s wit to capitulate to the dice
save that it ��s random for the sake of random

inspection building suspicion that it's a well-constructed model

a faded silver script of spider ��s breath

tumblers in a lock, clicking into place
hefting myself up. two dice results in text, green on black
write down the three recipes for the regional dishes
boil up some noodles
a cardamom heavy vinegar cheese sauce
a treat of habaneros and super chilis
hot with sour, salt with sweet
plop some of the remaining chicken cabbage soup on top
last week ��s meals, revivification
very, very carefully examine
familiar environment
no extra doors
nor strange scents
nor signs take heed
nor abandon hope
sniff my food
check again
take a bite
whisper of goodness
this seems to be the aim
home realm and peasant looking
brown, and plain, and full of wonder
out back near the garden
lay out three tiny decorative bowls
a spot of dinner in each, having honeyed the rims
politely tell the night that while lacking bread
the chicken is quite tender
back upstairs, shut down all the automation, all ��tronic vistas
shut down anything one might write code with
puzzle no boxes, stripped just so
salted and hashed to somnolence

lock up the vitamins and painkiller, chock the door for little cats �� paws
