A Song About

let ��s do the youthful flamingo
we want to so terribly much
let ��s dip our bills in glorious tills
to swill and to sup on our lunch
let ��s disappoint our parents
no shrimp to pink up our wings
let our sandpiper dance and pure happenstance
devour the best of all things
let us discuss things unspoken
with rum-punch and punching up broken
let us speak well of the ills of the world
��til weeping we our voices are taken
let ��s do all the birds �� sacred motions
down to the burrowing owl
to howl like the dove in its first plight of love
and loveless, let ��s drown in the oceans
let the waters run slack with our choices
out swift-sooted memories lost
and mourning storm-tossed on our fancy high cost
let ��s pull from the horn of our token
and let us be all of the birds
extinction so rapidly beating
life-flight ��s last plight in the embers so bright
let us burn and declaim that we ��ve tweeting
