sometimes it ��s not even a question
just slipping into those hard-edged pink-topped boots
because the fight in your heart needs some
and there ��s a bit of cheerful duress
where the pant cuff drops down and over
how if you unseat left male and the cuff ��s down
you fit
and left female, cuff still down
you fit
and both of those are still a fight
teeth reflected with just a bit of bike ��s own fire
rumbling still in the gullet
hours after dieseling down
how if you flop mid-step
neuter / male / female / other
sometimes no-one cares
sometimes the room goes silent
no-one knowing, uncomfortable
and sometimes
someone steps in
says the words
and hell ��s own aperture breaks grin
because that sorry backwards thunk is open game
lift lip, lift cuff, fit script, step in
go on, coward
wear the bully brow now
say the words
make other
��cause here ��s the slip
we cut to fit in
