Inside of You

inside of you
the suppers of a conspiring many
lament those two wolves
full furred and glorious
who at dark and full
twist attenuated passage
ignoring your starvation
switching fur for starless voice
stitching choice for ever-wound truths
banked embers �� December witness
smokeless powder
this whole adversarial notion
begetting imbalance, claiming prevalence
rightness, delight in the burning out
of all but one solitary lonely howl ��
trustless madness
feed yourself what you will
filter it down, rack in the manying wonder
in the corner of the family quilt
amidst all ancestry, small red-letter text
stop eating wolves
in generational turn, then
flutter-memory, how territory and own
rub shoulders, trade consolidations
branches, one day two wolves doing that whole
make more wolves thing, flaming joy
no need to bank the heart
within is de Sitter ��s burning
and no need to not bank
but downing one ��s own pack
is murderous silence
you too
can be the one you feed
