there ��s some argument about how poor one has to be
to have experienced poverty, whether by net-bloke dick wagging
or federal guidelines with precisely laid numbers
against a convenient national average
about how poor one has to stay
and how to stay poor enough
to be worthy of respected
enough to be fed
and whether that ��s respect
about how impoverished one needs be
to be permitted capacity to consent
but rich, I know
a slice of good warm bread
fresh, and butter, thick as desire
shared with happy cats
