The Sad Sound
December 25, 2020
once upon a time
deep in the dog of grievous whining
there lived a vast and complicated hunger
slowly seeping its way free
in the manner of glaciation and spring melt
trickles of sound begging rapprochement
between this humble puddle
a poodle dog without the space to swim
and their never-forgotten, always delightful
give it to them now kibble
please
please
please
please
please
they are dying alone of hunger
