by the time four years had passed, the flicker and shade of violence was built in
by six, a system, to move, and move again, slow and quick, wear broken rhythm
by ten, lethal was given, small frame, uncertain, and smile, and show fear
by broken voice, by choice, by trigger of indecision
by twelve, professional disconnect, automatic suspect �� everyone
by passing rivers, everyone ��s shiver must be �� thus
by reflections within the motion before the motion ��s well begun
by being done without reference to the motion
at four, a game, at six, an enemy, at ten, a silence in void
at listening hard against the tone, showing stone the wayward condition
where we are here
at where we are here
and should a thousand years come, still the motion remains
at twelve, by stepping into the river
at armistice, and staying
where we are here
at where we are here
let me bring you chocolate, bitter and warm
let me serve you coffee, and upon my hearth find solace
let me remind you that the voice is always behind
at the void, always behind
at sibilant empty, always behind
at which we are born
to move, to thunder, to whirl and wonder at the word
to be guest, and giver by awakened voice
to be trigger of decision where we are here
