used to think the death of an immortal broke people because of the contradiction
that the immortals themselves were thus broken, awash in cannot, and will not, and may
or that the nomer was tripped upon the impediment of habituation, the always present
that when the iron stake or broken rowan branch whipped back, the track was always perfect
ink and bark restraint cut willing from midnight temper, finite as zero split
thus murder unbecoming might reckon a slash, heart to hinder, will to wonder

no mortal thing survives the kill, nothing deathless grants it notice
