it is true when the dream dies
when you can meet that red time running
taste salt and shore in the gliding tremor
shake the stones, and stones be shaken
there's naught un-taken, cuttlefish last steps
shuttled first braken
blowing water in serpents
lashed to the fast
first to the wrapped up tentacles bounden
next to the amber and petals beside them
glut in the coming, in ink and in passion
in poison and promise
in running
in running
you mete what you've measured
storied and treasured, herein and hereafter
all one and together
to truth when the dream dies
blistered and gripping
whiled and slipping
into the real
