there's the moment just on the edge of drinking
when you might have that seventh glass
might tip over in the bottle, epiphinate yourself of breath
and all that struggles from the bottle
is the whisker of a dram, not enough to whet your sanity
nor proper for the dream
and the light is thus, one flame twice concatenated
made of serpent's bobbing action
linked gaze to sanity, watched oblivion
maybe taking restitution, contorting residual accumulation
waveform bent in glass, speed instantly abated
reinstated - without acceleration
a moment forever and instant, only knowing
tipping over was both wave - and crucible
