A Darwin For Sale
June 15, 2003
I have sold my corporate soul
become a part of the advertisement
processing my activities by the hour
and it seems good to me, not that I gave in
but that I have begun
supporting the languor of my dream
watching it split seams again
letting damage in
how we all begin
to crumble at the whole
selling parts of our conception
gain recognition at the pole
loosing definition
how we all wear definition
cloaking our maneuvers
like flirting - and mating and eating
taking and faking, recombinant
new life iteration, fad
good for the bad
reinvigoration
and new
same again, different day
we possess in vision
work towards possession
when even the demons don't drive
social suicide derived
then advertised
someday, that pistol Vietnam execution
will be sold on ebay - and someone will touch it
know by execution, thumb against the texture
that marketing just means knowing
which trigger kills most efficiently
which execution draws the most eyes
and which eyes will buy
