Second Killing

I am in that silent place and the water's coming down
like undertow to tympanum's whistle, sound that has no bones
an empty urn before my face neither filling nor begun
and the silence is a canceled wave, where I have been, being again
and I am in that silent place and the water is my home
in respite from deluge's grace, static sets the skin
grounded within undertone, ticking lack of metronome
and I know the silence is a place, taste of copper in my home
here refined to lacking sense, deviance in being grown
some made foundations of the earth, in bright abyss I am again
pressure measured miles deep, alien tingle of the known
there is no looking out from here, empty of the being's frame
entity of solitude in present, present and among
and here the urn with ashes fills, some part of me arriving
and the ashes pass before my face, behind the porcelain
here refined to carbon mean, and all along the knowing
creation may need no creator, may need only being
in silent space, and dead - or dreaming
