it's a new love, this thing, disintegration
suddenly moving faster than your own mind
like some passing voice is muttering religion
"god touched child" back in the bottom of my heart
everything seems to waft apart
physical mist where each drop is crystalline, counted
pain to the point of self killing, all in mind
I could be crying
but the tears are bent and riveted
driven rods where the tired of the eyes rest
and the motion is a demon unbound
fletching at flesh arrows, sharpened bones
such strange religion
and somewhere I'm missing you
out beyond the snap of mind and shadow
a counted thing grown infinite
all else can be contemplated
I hear voices you know
have heard them all along
some child psychopath met up with Jung
collected
and sometimes they are yours
how can it be admitted
that the sorrow and pain feel flat lined
outright and real alone in a dance of elbow, knee, and sheep
feel downright disturbing like I might be breeding it up
feeding it to the under child, another wet bone
slipping it in
when you are here, I will be human
I am in love with this
when you are gone
