Heroine

I don't believe in your innocence and I don't trust your ways
I have no faith in your recompenses and you accolades are staid
you pass your hair and your gown around like you're some stepping stone
passionate then surrogate somehow I've missed your gown
the doctor he says you're silent still, and his lips are blushed with your avenue
somehow I think he's had his fill and worships still, yes worships still
the tangerine I unwrapped for you was bittersweet, all pips and meat
another little something for your secret to wrap around
you pass the silence with another hand, another means to reap
and the nectar keeps your word at my ear so sticky in it's heat
the pilot he says you're silent still and his hand is warm in the seat
somehow his pallid face convenes, I see that he is diving now
I don't believe the radio when it tells me that you're clean
I have no cusp to contaminate with your spit and gasoline
that the crucible of your honey voice is that of a heroine
purchased first addicted plait of the hair and the hero's sin
oh hero out upon the snow are you complaining are you silent now
somehow I think our hero's killed his humor and he laughs like you, yes he laughs like you
yes he laughs both incomplete and vacant
