I knew them all once, not so different our time
now claiming their kin to perdition, fair honor to cleavage --
no surprise that I should look upon them, my own
my honored
contemplating once, more spectral motion
how soon before I shall see these ones no more again --
cross cuts and curses clear - eyes that revealed
my loved
so limited, flexibility, the labor of one's questions
obliterating pathos' keen lines when wiped from world a slaughter --
leaving honor bound and honor alone
to question
how soon before these eyes remember no more
the covenant of passions displayed and cost cast
so much like rice upon the sheets' pure bondage --
to question
how soon before I can claim I knew them all
upon a time, upon an honor, upon a stage harsh turned
my kin by neither breed, blood, nor water -- mine
to question
how soon again, before their shores and mine unmoor --
like breath the parting will be silent, known only within
outside the stone kept special white - like honor
my loved
