Enough
November 9, 1995
enough that the stitching had held
clothing together a tired thing called Adam
believing himself unbreachable even penetrated
staining threads black under watching moon
holding denuded his sex unseen
together enough forever the stitching had held
despite the man slipping away into mud
staid flickering phosphorous contrast
then dim - even his shadow casting off
old cloth - leaving only faith in thread behind
