September 27, 1995
rape me - he soured on stage
rape me now my friend
committed suicide there
tripped afloat on chemical self change
maybe he thought he'd glide
serene right on through the snap and flash
of the shotgun's quick end
come out clean on the other side
before he left, eighties goth was dead
driven into other patterns and a new beat
raw, pitch shifted, sound
fame killed him too
as surely as his hand on the trigger
he said he wasn't the only one
and a nation followed threshing in his wake
should have listened to his own words
unless he had already written them all down
time to glide serene, my dirty friend
bitter the sound you left behind
