what shall I do
to heal the hunger
when I cannot find the pain
how will I
conceal my sorry
can I go on
living in pain
can I break though
this hurtling silence
find a world
where people talk �� to me
find a place
where I am not guilty
can I ever
set me free
is it permitted
in this asylum
to bang on the walls
inside my head
will there ever
be another
who can take
the place of you
in this stillness
gallows pole beckons
I tie this rope
about my religion
but I must stop
stop to listen
only waves �� of silence
roar
bring it back ��
bring it back
a jump and a twist
he ��s dead, baby �� is it worth it
he ��s just a satchel now
someone will have to leave him
cut him down

he ��s got his gallows pole
barring his world

I see him take the step and
stop
