April 7, 1992
is this the girl I have known for just a year
proving her way in the world
am I thinking I thought I was, talking
telling my to her blank verse
and how she is changing ever unchanging
as am I
do I still know her, this calm visionary
this one who lives in the practical realm
she spins on her way through her life touching mine
and I am different
and perhaps
though I may wish to avoid it
I leave my changes on her as well
will we ever be the same
