View certificate details in Lagrange? I'm probably blind but where can I see the details of a replaced certificate in Lagrange before trusting it?

Adrian Tchaikovsky — Anyone read any of Adrian Tchaikovsky's works? I'm currently listening to Dogs of War, and have read a fair amount of his Sci-Fi. I really love his stuff. One of my dreams is to make some sort of video game adaptation/amalgamation/tribute to his stuff.

I built a quail tractor today from 95% recycled or leftover components. We'll put a few males in here so that they don't harass the females too much. They'll get a new slice of land every day and improve our soil fertility in the process.

Apparently McDonalds released a new game for Game Boy Color that can be played through a web emulator and, if you own one of those flash cartridges, a physical Game Boy too. Full story was shared in HN a few minutes ago: [https link]

I'm trying to get more into a multi-window workflow with my personal use of Lagrange. Since the app was initially created with a single-window GUI, that's what I still typically tend to use. It's quite handy to keep two windows open, like now while writing this I can type in one window while keeping another open for unrelated things. (Like SpellBinding. 🙂) You could do the same with split view mode, but I like to the keep pinning enabled to help with hierarchical navigation, so the splits can...

I am slowly turning my van into a semi-livable space. Still trying to figure out if I want to trade some interior space for a regular single bed or settle for a smaller cot and my thermarest pad. Currently I have a single bed frame and the comparatively skinny thermarest on top which is... unoptimal lol. I recently got a big meditation pillow which is extremely comfortable and would work great on a cot so getting 2 more of them to form a bed is also a consideration. The next step will be...

I'm looking for a protocol description of 'gemlog' and 'gemini feed'. Can anyone point me to links? (I am studiously avoiding the word 'definitive' here intentionally) 🤔

🌒 s/Bubble

More thoughts on editing — I went to communitywiki.org today and saw that they also had raw pages. Then I came back here and saw @stack's post about editing workflow. So, I noodled on this for a few minutes and here's where I ended up. One tricky part is that gemini is only for reading and titan is only for writing. Another tricky part is that the BBS software wants to allow editing even in clients that don't support Titan. That's cool, but I think the process with Titan could be smoother....

QUAILTY regrettably not a word — A resemblance to a small, ground-dwelling bird. Also, the characteristic of an utterance being cried-out, as in fear or apprehension.

Editing quirk: if a post contains more than one 'line' (shift-cr is used to start a new line), it is no longer possible to edit anything but the final line using the Lagrange 'copy prev. line' prompt feature. Having posts that are not editable is a bit harsh. I realize this is more of a Lagrange issue (perhaps there should be a second option to copy anything highlighted into the prompt?), and those using standard browsers have to retype the whole post. As a possible work-around, you could...

A suggestion: don't worry about a 'perfect game' or competing too much. Enjoy the challenge. I've tried my best to make the game more interesting by showing top word counts (it also acts as a clue to the puzzle dimensions), but not too competitive (by showing word counts and not scores). Just because someone has a high word count does not mean they are ahead of you - longer words or a pangram can make your score way higher.

🌒 s/music

Is there any good music making software that's fully accessible only using a keyboard? (The typing kind, I mean.) I can't use a mouse, and I can emulate one in a pinch, sure, but I'm curious if there's anything like what I'm describing out there. Preferably with Linux support, but I'll take what I can get. I’ve never learned proper music theory, I just want to noodle around and see if I can make cool sounds :)

Opal 1.7.0 - now with Titan! — Last night I finished the initial implementation of support for the Titan protocol in Opal. Opal is a Gemini client library written for the C# world (.NET Standard 2.0 and .NET 7). Uploading the contents of a file to a remote host using Opal now looks like the following: [csharp] This means that I can begin implementing support for Titan uploads in Rosy Crow. I hope to have that finished before the end of the week. Thank you for reading! 😁

Well, then, maybe Bubble is for me...? — A few days capsule dead in the Gemini water for [gemini link] having seemingly gone belly up, and then attempting in seeming vain to join other places serving Gemini content has me wondering if maybe "Bubble" A HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!! (that laughter was because Bubble was down when I innocently went to it to verify it was maybe even just half a notch more reliable) But - a bit later - it's back. WHEW.... where or WHERE would I have lodged by all...

Slowly getting Lagrange v1.16.4 out the door. To be clear, it's still stuck on the doorstep, not quite out the door yet. I've been trying to fix several small glitches/annoyances recently, but the nature of a truly cross-platform app is that doing changes on one platform will cause subtle issues on other platforms. Doubly so when dealing with a custom GUI toolkit. It's much like juggling lots of balls, or herding wild cats, or possibly juggling a bunch of cats.

Are zero-length uploads valid in Titan? — The semantics of this would be akin to "make the resource empty".

Midinous — A node-based, non-linear MIDI sequencer. Recently I stumbled across this very interesting piece of software. Was curious if anyone here knows about it and if you don't, I recommend checking it out. I've been having some fun, but didn't really got into the weeds of it yet. The node-based thing can be a bit of a mind-fuck if you're not used to anything like it, but it makes my programmer brain parts tingle. I wouldn't do it justice rambling about it with my very limited knowledge so...
