Everything is a Text File

This is a bit of a trend, for me: getting frustrated by anything that's not a text file. After being lured into the mischievous light of many tools that promised me unlimited possibilities, I am definitely back to use plain text files for everything.

It has not been a premeditated plan. I just realized now that that's what it is.

My notes are in markdown.

My todo lists are (mostly) in a text files.

My Kanban boards are very paint-coated markdown files.

My blog (the Big Web one) is a bunch of markdown files built together by Hugo.

And then there is this, that is clearly (and liberating) plain text.

What else is not text in my digital life?

I've come full circle. But on a circle back is forward and forward is back.
