It's been a busy week at the day job. I got the crud that Mary had and was mostly able to not work in close proximity to others indoors. I got an intern on Wednesday and, even though I was expecting a couple sometime this summer, I only got the heads up on Tuesday afternoon. He's a good guy and tries hard, but I still feel like I'm doing more work trying to help him get something out of the experience.
Mary and I talked about the chicken coop and decided that the mock-up was a bad fit. We both agreed that a mobile coop would be better for our property because overgrazing is relatively easy. So what else could we use the mock-up for so we don't have to waste it? Right now we're thinking dog kennels. We floated the idea in the past of building a few to make a little income from boarding. We have a couple border collies and any time we need to leave them for a week it costs around $500, one way or another, to have somebody look after them. It would be nice to be on the receiving end of some of that cash.
I've done a little more work on what I'm calling the finish model. This model basically shows finished surfaces with none of the interior non-visible stuff. It should be helpful for making cosmetic design decisions and will be the one converted for web viewing. Freeman has been working on various things to help me with this process, I just need to send him something to test with.
We've been getting a lot of rain lately and everything is turning lush and green.
