I have spent basically half the night trying to figure out how the chromecast and airplay protocols work.
The good thing is that I can use the much simpler and limited but working version 1 of the API because I have an old model. This was actually a concern because most of the documentation I found about the topic is a decade old or incomplete.
The next step is to set up a dummy Airplay server to receive commands, and start to figure out what I am getting and what I need to send.

Uh oh... Hi! I am back! A lot of stuff happened in the last months, including a being out of the country for almost two months, a (failed) attempt of a promotion, and sort of a return of what is considered normal life.
Today I published a new (http) article after months without writing anything. Feels good :) Moving to a new house took way more time and energy than I expected by far.
Is there a way to follow up the development of the protocol now that the mailing list is dead? I am really curious to know what is going on behind the scenes :)
