@acidus Hey I saw your post about the chilly update. With the concerns about moon phases cluttering the UI, I would like to suggest a 'full view' option equivalent to wttr.in's experemental 'data-rich output format' with a link to the full view at the bottom of the page.

@acidus By the way, I wanted to message you privately about the feature request but could'nt find any contact info on gemi.dev Totally understandable if thats a concious choice you've made but on the off chance its an oversight I wanted to let you know. I dont feel station is an appropriate place for bug reports, feature request or would-be-github-issues. I feel bad whenever I see someone @ing skyjake over something lagrange related for the hundreth time in the row, you'd think the poor dude would like to be asked how his day was for a change instead. · 11 months ago

@acidus I see what you mean, for sure. Its a difficult balance. One thing I think of is that 'valuable information' is somewhat subjective, if you were a sailor then barometric pressure suddenly become as relevant as moon-phase. Due to the somewhat minimalist nature of chilly youll have to cherry pick some information over others anyways which is very reasonable. However if someone wanted that extra information for whatever reason then maybe adding a "give me full information" option might be something to consider. · 11 months ago

@smokey oh nice. that’s a really cool interface! I’m looking more at work other text and terminal based weather UIs do for inspiration.

maybe “ cluttered” is the wrong word. more like I’m trying to keep the ratio of valuable information to less valuable information high. things like temperature chance of rain, conditions tend to be more important than wind speed barometric pressure and moonphase · 11 months ago

IMO there's no such thing as a cluttered UI with gemtext :) · 11 months ago
