This is a gemlog for the SpellBinding puzzle, in which you construct words using the specified letters (each word must contain the anchor letter).
Special rule:
* No -EST adjectives
CIST CITE COGITO COSSET COST EGOIST EGOISTIC EGOTIST EGOTISTIC GEST GESTE GIST OCTET SCOOT SECT SETTEE SITE SOOT STET STOIC STOOGE TESTES TESTIS TOOT TOOTSIE TOSS TOTE TSETSE
Pangram: EGOTISTIC
Missed: COTE, SCOT, EGEST
Just to clarify: -EST adjectives were disallowed, but words like GEST are accepted. Similarly, plural -S/ES is always disallowed, while words like TESTIS/TESTES are fine. To be more clear, plural forms created by appending -S or -ES are not allowed, while words that are naturally plural or happen to end in -S/ES are accepted. I think.
COGITO. I think. Although I don't think it's ever used outside 'Cogito, ergo sum. So I am on the fence about this one, but it is already in the dictionary.
COSSET: (n) pet lamb, or just pet; (v) to treat as a pet, pamper.
GEST: 1) tale of adventures, romance in verse; 2) exploit;
GESTE: a form of gest, or archaically, 1) deportment 2) gesture.
SETTEE: a kind of sofa
TESTIS and plural TESTES. Nuff said.
TSETSE again, probably should not be here as it occurs as part of 'tsetse fly' only...
Another day.
