Mary said she would research and think about the chicken coop. I've gotten in touch with YoSoyFreeman@mastodon.gamedev.place to help me with the house-model-in-web-browser problem. I'm interested to see how things turn out and it's nice when people are honest, friendly, and decent. I've got a good feeling about him. Adelle graduates high school soon and I'm very proud of her accomplishments. She's attending university this year for pre-veterinary medicine.
Went to church today, but Mary and Heidi had a cold and stayed home. My nephew Mitch motioned for me to sit next to him this morning and it was good to see him. He just got back from a 3 month trip to Japan and I would love to sit down and hear about his adventures. Our sermon series continues to be The Disruptive Church and today Chip talked about how counter-cultural the 1st century church's views on sex were at the time; heck, they are again these days.
When I got back home, Heidi requested another Waffle House visit. We agreed to it this time, but Waffle House will NOT be a daily routine. When we got back home, Mary went back to bed while Heidi played in her room. I accidentally took a nap in the recliner before making sure Heidi was secure in her bed. Bad call. When I woke up I checked on her in her room and she had had an accident. Poo rubbed everywhere. Gross. I cleaned her up and then her room. Ugh, having an autistic child can be very difficult, but she is very much a blessing. I remember an article, years ago, when a journalist asked an Amish person about why God allows some people to be disabled and they answered, "To teach us how to love."
Later we all went to one of our favorite parks and let the pups and Heidi run around a bit. Mary isn't 100% better, but overall a good day. We watched S03E07 of Ted Lasso. I contacted someone who is looking into converting my house models into WebGL so that anyone can just run through it in a web browser. Still haven't planned some time with Jay to go over details, but will this week. Going to go talk about the mock-up with Mary right now.
Slept in this morning and got breakfast with the family at Waffle House.
Heidi was a bottomless pit and we ordered more bacon.
Met a guy, also from NC, who's from Raleigh.
Currently we have not broken ground on our property, but we did build a shed there in 2017. Today I'm going to work on the exterior of the house plan and really try to nail down some details. I will try to meet up with my brother-in-law, Jay, who has an eye for such things.
A house model overlay with the existing landscape.
We need to make a mock-up of the exterior wall assembly and are considering making a chicken coop out of it.
This will:
The cost of this mock-up would be pretty large and it gives me reservations about using it for chickens.
I also wonder if a mobile coop would be better anyway. I will discuss with Mary and decide.
Need to get a rough cost idea to help evaluate it.
So what else could we use the mock-up for?
So much to do, gotta get busy!
I've just completed setting up this Gemini Capsule!
I'm hoping this log gives me a way to track the goings on at The Outpost.
We plan on breaking ground on our new house this year, so there's a lot to keep up with.
We hope that you keep up with us and find inspiration in what we do!
Many thanks to Atyh for pointing me to this guide below and to its creator, Ben.
While you're at it, check out Atyh's Capsule.
Getting late, heading to bed.😴
