CW: Suicidal Thoughts, Fascism

There's a lot of close calls in my life that I'm only starting to realize now, years later could have drastically altered my path. I don't really have a proper intro for this, so the examples are as follows:

The girl I considered dating last year lived only less than a block away from my then-house. We already kind of clicked as friends(even if she thought I was a dum-dum) and considering we shared so many interests I wonder if it would have lasted.
On the flipside, the known fascist in my neighborhood now doesn't live too far from me either, and I'm already aware that I was in a dark place last year when I moved. If I got more into him, I could have started hating myself for far more than I already did.
My sister is starting to be told the same things I was that led me to the conclusion I was damaged goods and a net loss for society at a young age. If I killed myself, what message would that send her?
