So, I had a OnePlus 6T which I thought I'd killed the mic on (did an update to Edge and dropped it around the same time). Tried downgrading. Tried an apk fix. No joy, so I bought and flashed another cheaper 128GB model. Today I came across someone with the same issue #2120 on the postmarket pmaports issues list. Long story short: delete /var/lib/alsa/asound.state and reboot. Tried that and I now have two working Linux phones OP6T 8G 128GB and a OP6T 8G 256GB... any suggestions on how to break it to the Wife?

capsule is back up learned the hard way the difference between user and system services in systemd. blindly following the instructions for gmcapule had me install as a user and when I logged out it stopped. Fixed by putting in /etc/systemd/system/ like I should have.

Am now pretty convinced that my virtual machines' internet randomly going out is a problem with virtualbox itself. It happens randomly to every OS I've played with, and restarting the virtual machine does nothing, whereas restarting my whole computer often fixes it. Wild

Personal opinion, but perhaps a widely held one. Charley horses are very unpleasant and I would rather them not be a thing. I say this having been woken up this morning by one. Was quite rude to have been woken up so early today. I volunteered to wait staff for a VFW dinner last night. I am certain that I have overdone myself with the carrying dishes. I was hoping to sleep in a bit late to make up, but clearly my muscles had other intentions. Side note in all of this: I more than likely need a bit of regular exercise before I go off and do these kinds of strenuous activies.
