The Monome project needs a much more presentable box. While I wait for the USB panel mounts to arrive, I might as well learn how to do some laser cutting, to see if that might be a suitable way to move that project forward.
It's a running joke in our house to give things ratings out of 10. Since doing the LED Display, I really wanted to throw up some more projects which used MQTT. Take an ESP8266, a servo and some pieces of wood, and you have a perfectly servicable rating scale. Hit a button on the control website and the dial will change to reflect the most recent rating.
Initial idea, held together with tape. Running out of space for projects in-progress.
However, this device has one major flaw; what if you're outside the room or in a place with no WiFi? Fortunately, there was some space on the sheet being laser cut and that's where the Pocket Rating Scale comes in:
This is hand operated and battery-free. When you're in a pinch and need to rate something, this proves to be very useful. I never leave home without it.
