Latest on me, my life, what I'm doing / reading / playing etc.
I'm working on Starfish: a GTK based Gemini client made for elementary OS. It's my first foray into Linux desktop development, so I'm learning a lot. You can read more over at a dedicated project page:
In other news, my wife and I recently moved in to our new home, and I find this a great opportunity to get into self-hosted home automation. I'm currently hoarding zigbee powered smart lights form IKEA and am planning to hook it up to Home Assistant.
Home Assistant, an open source home automation tool 🏠️
I recently finished The Dispossessed by Ursula K. Le Guin. I unequivocally loved it! ❤️
I'm looking for my next read right now, while flirting with a couple of podcasts.

I'm two years into Hello from the magic tavern, an improv based fantasy / sci-fi podcast. In fact I just started the 2nd season, and OMG!!! 😱️

Last but not least, I'm playing a wonderful D&D 5e homebrew campaign. My DM is an absolute legend, and the party is awesome. I'm a level 6 Dwarf barbarian.

My OS of choice is Elementary OS 6.1 Jólnir. I love the philosophy and aesthetic of that project. It motivated me to engage in Linux desktop development in particular and OSS community more generally.
I browse gemini using my own GUI client: Starfish! Check out more abut it over at:
This gempod is running on Agate, an efficient little server. It supports static files, multiple domains and generates certificates on first start.
