Macbeth.SHK contains a "BookStack" of William Shakespeare's play "Macbeth". (A Bookstack is a HyperCard IIgs stack containing the complete text of a book or other text file). Like other BookStacks, this one allows the user to create HyperText links (i.e. click on some text and see the note you left for yourself about it). It also allows multimedia links, where clicking the text shows a picture, plays an animation, plays a sound, or loads a text file. It also has a built-in text editor, suitable for writing notes or an essay about the text. A version of this stack with links that explain all the archaic words, show a picture of Shakespeare, and have two short essays (one on the play, one on the author) appears in HyperQuarterly issue 2.
