I'm trying to set the Backspace key to go to the home page in amfora (my local copy) and it does not take. It also says in the help file that it is SUPPOSED TO BE set as that as default. Now, CTRL-H works, and I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
What is going on? (amfora config file snippet showing what I believe to be the correct "coding" to set the backspace key to home ???)

# The default binding for opening the bottom bar for entering a URL or link number is: # bind_bottom = "Space" # This is how to get the Spacebar as a keybinding, if you try to use " ", it won't work. # And, finally, an example of a simple, unmodified character is: # bind_edit = "e" # This binds the "e" key to the command to edit the current URL. # The bind_link[1-90] options are for the commands to go to the first 10 links on a page, # typically these are bound to the number keys: # bind_link1 = "1" # bind_link2 = "2" # bind_link3 = "3" # bind_link4 = "4" # bind_link5 = "5" # bind_link6 = "6" # bind_link7 = "7" # bind_link8 = "8" # bind_link9 = "9" # bind_link0 = "0" # All keybindings: # # bind_bottom # bind_edit bind_home = "Backspace" <------- # bind_bookmarks # bind_add_bookmark # bind_save # bind_reload # bind_back # bind_forward # bind_moveup # bind_movedown # bind_moveleft # bind_moveright

I'm finding it funny here, at this "new" place (been here since May 2022) the sun likes to light up the right side of the window sill around these times when the planet is at a certain angle relative to said Sol...
this only happens when it's clear out, as quite often there are clouds galore overhead in these parts, being so close to the Gulf and its humidity. Come Summer, though, what with this house being lined up almost exactly on the Cardinal points, the sun travels over the top of the house and never peaks into this room. Here's the fun part... come Fall, the sun begins to peak in JUST BARELY at first, when it's getting low in the sky around 1500. It slips through the gap that is the corner of the porch cover and the roof over this room.
This is not to mention the leafless tree allowing the setting sun to blast the back of the house with light, making it near blinding when it bounces off the slick tile flooring. Also not to mention the HUGE GAP made in the trees out back when the utility workers needed access to repair the snapped power line...
gd this is a ramble lol enjoy!

Oh yeah, I thought of this at 0400 when I was out in the main room... old man is NO DOUBT going to rise from his 4 hour "nap" and go into said main room and send the recycling to the landfill before I can get to it (sister has not left yet) bc that's what he f-n does... it happens with the dishes, too.
lol he just came in from doing that to lay down, like clockwork.
WTAF?

I'm going to start appending the daily files instead of making a new file, might even group them by week or month IDK yet but def. making new ones every hour is silly AF.
Anyways... what is it NOW? Why, it's 1012, 20230210. Good grief, is it that late already? Seems I was just in the kitchen making something to eat... oh, wait... I WAS just in there. IDK. I got hungry again.
Oh yeah! It was something I saw in the depths of the shlog... major brain rot. I will not bring it back to the surface, neither here nor there. Keep a lid on that stuff. When I get inspired enough I shall write up another... Glog? mlog? emlog? *sigh* fine... gemlog... about it, and it will be heavily prefaced with a COMMON SENSE argument.
