Ignore this and go back to the homepage if you're younger than 21 or the legal drinking age in your country.
Let's get one thing straight- I do not enjoy alcohol. I don't like the flavor, I don't like the warmth as it goes down, and I don't even like the "fun" part - the way it makes me feel. At least other than the comfort in social situations. I like alcohol the same way that I like my coffee: drowned in sugar and other flavors to the point where I can barely taste it.
I just kinda like having opinions on things that I have no qualifications to review.
I don't know why I always go into drinking wine expecting something like grape juice, but I do. And this was, as usual, disappointing. I ended up pouring it out because of my roommates, but I took a final sip and it tasted pretty alright. I think maybe it gets better like a day or two after opening.
Would I try this again? Yes.
This kinda tasted like if you mixed fresh lemon juice with sparkling water, minus any sourness. It was actually pretty refreshing, at least at first. After a few more sips it started to taste more like hand sanitizer. I didn't really get any buzz from it, in part due to the fact that a friend bought me thai tea when I got halfway through the can.
Would I try this again? Maybe, but I gotta try more Chu-Hi.
I actually rather enjoy this one. Could be that I am, perhaps, a fan of ale. I also don't quite taste the apple in this drink, but it is definitely fruity. More like wine than apple. I also like that it doesn't really feel warm going down but warm once it's settled in ya. Had some fun drinking this on a quiet night alone.
Would I try this again? Maybe.
They weren't lying, this is SUPER DRY for a liquid. I'm sorta stealing this from something I heard someone else say, but it's very SHARP when you first drink it. And then it just sorta fades out and disappears. It's a cool sensation, but I hate the taste. It kinda just tastes like sparkling water and hand sanitizer. What else is new. I'm willing to admit its probably a good drink, objectively speaking, if you're into the taste.
Would I try this again? If I get used to beer taste.
I kinda wanna take back what I said about Asahi Super Dry because this one just kinda sucks. It's definitely got more flavor... I do enjoy the fact that it really does kinda taste like bread. And the pre-aftertaste is a bit.... caramel-y? It's pretty bitter which doesn't mix well with the alcohol taste if you ask me. Just tastes Yucky and feels too harsh.
Would I try this again? Absolutely not.
I made no progress drinking this thing. This is the gold standard beverage that everyone raves about? Please. I'll never understand why this crap was just flying off the shelves a couple years ago. This tasted sorta like a nastier Redd's. Also, what kind of flavor is "Gold"? I'm assuming their flavoring makes about as much sense as Monster Energy flavoring.
Would I try this again? Only through peer pressure.
I may just be a bit more used to wine now, but I actually really dig this one. I didn't pour a full glass because I want to be able to work on stuff, but the taste is really nice. It doesn't have the heavy flavor of grapes but has a nice sort of peachy-fruity taste. Definitely drink it chilled, it's very light and pleasant.
Would I try this again? Definitely.
Premium indeed. This is the kind of flavor I imagine when I think of the word "beer". It's very refreshing honestly, with a neutral, slightly sweetish taste. Kinda like those sweet rolls you have at Thanksgiving dinner. Considering that I like it, and I tend to like pretty simple things, this doesn't have the most complex flavor profile but it goes well with a nice carb-filled meal.
Would I try this again? Probably when I'm with the guys, sure.
So, apparently for a few years now this ramen place I go to has been selling the non-alcoholic soda version of this, and I've loved it for a while. Only the other day did I realize it was a wine, so I picked it up at our Japanese market. It's a very, very tart umeshu... which is close enough to a plum with a slight... peachy taste to it? I really like it. I still prefer the non-alcoholic version for obvious reasons, but if you want a more "mature" taste then pick this up.
Would I try this again? Of course.
Are you surprised? I love Bailey's to death. I had this for the first time at a local Irish pub and I could've just sat there drinking this for the rest of the night. I consider it a lighter version of a White Russian, similar to the way I used to make it where I would put in (a little too much) heavy cream. Obviously you could mix Bailey's with some other stuff, but I didn't want anything fancy.
Would I try this again? Absolutely.
I wasn't really expecting to enjoy sake, but this one was really nice. Have you ever had lychee flavored Calpico before? It's basically just that but with alcohol. It's got a milky lychee taste, and my favorite Calpico flavor. I'm not sure I have much else to say other than I would probably choose Calpico over this. Still tasty though! Have I said Calpico enough times yet?
Would I try this again? Sure, why not?
I was kinda disappointed with this. I figured I would like a sparkling wine better than a still wine, but I didn't. Well, the bubbles did add something, but the flavor was very... "whatever". It's just a mid rosé that sparkles. Went pretty good with calamari, though, I must admit, you'd probably be better off getting an actually tasty rosé and not one in a can.
Would I try this again? No.
This is the one. This is now my go-to drink for when I get dragged out to the bar or an arcade or something. It tastes like a mocha frappe but with a little added spice (the vodka). It's so creamy and fragrant, I love it. This also showed me how much of a lightweight I am, how one glass will immediately make me annoyingly chatty and a bit woozy. I had to do a lot of walking after drinking this, which I wouldn't recommend. You should have one of these when you're chillin at home in your comfy chair.
Would I try this again? I look forward to it.
Tried this on a whim when I was at a bar & grill with friends, who told me I had none of the swag of Sean Connery to be drinking that and just looked "gay". Fair. It wasn't my favorite drink in the world but I liked it. Kinda felt like I was drinking sweet tree sap, if that makes any sense. Can't be too favorable about this one though because I drank it while eating spicy pasta - whiskey and spicy food do not mix well.
Would I try this again? Maybe, if I craved it.
I'm officially resigning from this macho man crap if it means I don't get to have some fruity ass drinks. This is just delicious. I'm not sure what flavors this has in it but it tastes very tropical, with some coconut that makes it just a little bit milky (which I love). I'm not even that into fruity tastes, but... man.
Would I try this again? I recommend it.
Truly the only iced tea I will ever want to drink, and it doesn't even have any tea in it. Maybe I just don't like tea. If you also don't like tea and drink soda all day, you'd probably like this. Just be careful because it's way stronger than I realized.
Would I try this again? Maybe.
