Yesterday I downloaded the tildetown zine #5. It contains an article by ~dozens about dwbasic. bwbasic is an basic interpreter written by a cool grandma in 1982 who was like "He who cannot in 64k program cannot in 512k".
Just read the manpage of bwbasic on tilde.town. You can also "apt install" it on your favourite debian flavored system.
I not only like the (hi-)story behind the software, but also the nostalic touch of a basic interpreter. I did my first steps in programming BASIC on a Commodore64 in 1990. I didnt make it very far in programming business, but still have nostalgic feelings about it.
Just wrote my "10 print "Hello World" in bwbasic just for fun.
