Apex's capsule

.... ...... ..ow. ..llo ... ... hea. ..? Da.. .t! ..... .... to ... .his s..ted. ..... .ell cannot seem to get this positioned! Ow!, hello!!

Great! Seems I finally sorted out the antenna. Welcome to my capsule! Enjoy your stay!

My interest is in building smart client-side applications and removing the need for complex server-side applications.

The backup application Restic[1] is a huge inspiration for me.

I believe decentralizing the internet is not enough. Why rely on servers, run by third-parties, when you have a super computer in your pocket, that you own, and can do the job for you.

Projects

A twtxt Android client. Posting to twtxt is super low-tech, just publish a plain-text file somewhere. But having a pleasant reading experience and becoming aware of replies is much harder. I am trying to build an app that provides a high-quality reading and posting experience without relying on a backend application.

A photo browser / backup application to replace Google Photos. Basically a restic for photo's and video's and an easy way to view / browse your remote media. It plugs into S3 compatible storage and encrypts all data client-side before storage.
