One Light

one light
first beacon margin
where every father is a humanist
every murderer somehow burning off against horizon's blind
yanked tight, cord cutting, spoken word somewhere out there --
against an alienation, entire categories of life form disentangled
sheen against skein, borrowing to become one humanity --
treacle and dimple, one hollow giving way to a hollow of one
carving masses from the mix, craving creases of the cloth --
spoken word somehow out there, yanked tight
vision, one vision
one light
beacon
first we begin
where every mother is creationist
every spoken word a measure of work, energy to heat
heat to passion, flexing steel and muscle pulsing beaten measure
squander nothing, even murder against that savaged sky
savor, each action before flight takes action, against one
against nation,
how we first began
out in the dark of an empty greater than one
