Blotting Out the Orb
November 9, 1995
burnt desolate spider creeps up
testing fragility of warp and weft
cast like a net to catch - please everything
dabbling at images, wasp torn near weft
insect millions most caught swarming up
twitching in the sticky wire - eyes open
upon a fractal thousand eight ways worlds
each food and spiral hunger feeding
thrashing on eight legs strung akimbo
swallowing image to tip of tongue
then food never a thought considered
then tongue flickering over vision
then mind upon the fractal revision again
deriving finally hunger from eating - inversion
rem awake remember
strings at home while feeding those
fed trembling feeding corrosion - burnt spider home
to a thousand wasp children
