I started adding more entries to the artifact repository, and I've identified the first shortcoming: publication dates are represented as Unix timestamps. I think these make sense for the stored date, but not in other cases. I think using string dates might make more sense, and a timestamp added as metadata where it makes sense.
I think this will take some thinking to get right.
