Faeric leadership consists solely of the eldest of the elders, age being the only limiting factor. Faeries who have ventured out into other parts of the sphere have refused to say exactly how old these elders are, or how long the race as a whole generally lives. It has been noted, though, that the elders derive their decisions from interpreting the, in their words, majestic flowing of plant life, especially trees.
