Oil Pie Crust

[Uses a 9.5" (24cm) pie form.]

Ingredients

Crust

(2 deciliters) flour

(0.125 teaspoon) salt

(0.5 deciliters) canola oil

(< 0.5 deciliters) cold water

Instructions

Combine and mix into a ball. Roll flat on baking paper. Transfer to pie dish. Bake at 175° C for 8 minutes, under a weight, if pre-baking is called for. However, not all recipes require pre-baking.

Notes

Use low-protein flour. Try to find under 10%. High protein (12% and higher) will make it turn out like cardboard.
