DEV BLOG - Week 46 of 2021

Sunday, November 14th

Today I am supposed to get my soldering iron and also work on fixing the network card issue I've been fighting with.

Both happened. I got the iron and the network problem ended being power management. Turning it off fixed things. Mostly. I think I still have a problem with the local network.

Monday, November 15th

Awaiting the keyboard. Also saw a cool way to build a UPS of sorts out of batteries that I might try in the near future.

Got the keyboard only to discover that I was missing about five of the diodes I need. And know the other iron and radio got shipped that were supposed to be canceled. I also cannot solder for shit.

Tuesday, November 16th

Day two of trying to get this damned keyboard together.

Wednesday, November 17th

Discovered this morning that GitLab has blocked my account.

Thursday, November 18th

Sometime during the night GitLab found that it was an automatic flag and corrected it. I have still launched Lacia, who will grab daily copies from GitLab and store them on her server. I also plan to have her do other functions I haven't fully figured out yet.

Friday, November 19th

I got the Thetis key today and changed out my password manager as well. I'll do a complete audit and change all of my passwords next. It's a neat little device, to be honest. Tomorrow should be a lot of soldering I would imagine, and I really need the practice.

Feeling cute, might put up a blog post later, I dunno.

I have Lacia up, now that I have control of GitLab again, I need to set up a script or two to handle basic house keeping and keep things under control. Might name that process either Kouka or Saturnus. Not sure yet.

Saturday, November 20th

Spent part of the day soldering the speaker kit that came in yesterday.

Began working on the git update script on Lacia to get a good copy of my data on a daily basis.

Takeaways

Moving forward this week.
