Prep Time: 20 Minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Total time: 30 mins
2 & 1/4th cups of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
3/4th of a teaspoon of salt
1 cup softened vegan butter
3/4th of a cup of brown sugar && white sugar
1/4th of a cup of water
1 tablespoon of pure vanilla extract
1/2 cups of vegan chocolate chips
Melt the butter: I typically do this in a microwave for about 1 - 1:30 minutes.
Mix in the Sugars
Add the water and vanilla extract. You're supposed to mix for 2 minutes min, but, I typically get away with a few solid rotations and mixing for about 30 seconds - 1 minute because I am lazy, lol.
This is the hard part: Add the baking soda then add the salt then add the flour.
Add the flour in 1/2 of a cup at a time so it doesn't become impossible to mix.
Typically after the 3rd addition of flour I find I have to actually start kneeding it with my Firsts, or, mixing it by hand. It will be a little messy but when you add the last 1/2 of a cup it becomes easier.
I typically cook these for anywhere between 10 - 11 minutes.
the original recipe says you can get away with 8 minutes, so, it just deppends on preference, I suppose.
The original calls for 1 taplespoon sized chunks of cookie dough, but, it's up to you, really. Make one big giant cookie if you want, lol. Or 6 or 8 smalls ones, lol. I wrap the dough up that I don't use and use it through out the week for easy cookies. These are so damn good and a staple for vegans who get choclate cravings.
