What is information, and why do some human constructs need to be so complex?

Gemini long post best practice thot... insert dead links throughout the length of the text so users can just tab through, instead of moving their hand over to the arrow keys to scroll (tabbing thru a post that has links at bottom is jolting... the whole post gets skipped)

It's kinda weird seeing all the people/accounts here in the geminispace tauting how great it is, in posts that are 2-3 years old. Is this THAT great? Things to ponder, for sure...

It's also weird reading the musings and thoughts of people who are my juniors by 15-20 years, who so much more well versed in "tech"/do coding/etc. Coming of age "online" right before the "boom". We GenXers had far less collective access to computers and the like. It was weirdly exciting, and also fairly foreign, when, in my early/mid-20, I only knew of ONE of my fellow cohort who had access to the Internet then. Through some big box with a tiny screen sitting on top of it. Oddly similar to that Apple of my father's I used when I was 14.
What a difference a generation makes.
