The Apple II System Disk, version 4.0.1 is now available for download from
The Cynosure BBS at (410) 549-2584 (14,400 bps). This is the version which
includes ProDOS 2.0.2.

You can download the system disk on your first call. Just sign on as
"register" and follow the instructions. When you get to the main menu,
select the File Transfer section, then select the "system4.0.1" directory
and download either each individual file or the ShrinkIt archive of the
whole disk (packed by file).

Cynosure BBS has an electronic distribution license with Apple which allows
us to make Apple II system software (including GS/OS) available for
download. (As far as I know, we're the only free BBS in the country that
offers this service.) Sorry, we cannot email or post the software.
