I found gemini recently when using SSB and already knowing about gopher before, this seems like exactly the kind of stuff I was looking for. What am I looking for? A system to avoid having to create an intricate UI for a project I am wanting to work out. I think I will make gemini the primary interface to it at least to bootstrap it and avoid having too many eyes on what I suspect might be too prone to abuse otherwise.
