The Backroad to Civilization

January 4th, 2023:

I brought my iBook G4 with me to work so I could play around with MorphOS

a bit more. Sadly, work kept me hopping today, so I wasn't able to spend

much time on it. I *did* manage to find time to install an OpenSSL fix

and to download & install the latest AmiSSL release to bring security up

to date.

If I have time tomorrow, I plan to figure out why the xmpp client I use

(KwaKwa) no longer connects, then perhaps try out another (preferably

MorphOS native) RSS app if I'm feeling ambitious.

I used the G4 as a daily driver for a couple of weeks back in August and

rather enjoyed the experience, but there are several things that need to

be tweaked or different apps used until it *feels* right. It'll be a

while until the G4 is fully set up the way I want, and a lot of work.

I just gotta keep at it.

Hopefully I'll have some successes to report tomorrow.
