There has been a lot going on, but I've managed to find a little bit of time to work on some side projects that I've had sitting on the bench for the better part of a year. I finally have all the components but I need to change at least one of the PCBs.
It probably won't surprise anyone to find out that I don't trust the 'Internet of Things', but I appreciate the utility of having remote access to sensor data, so I have set about to create my own. Ultimately designed to monitor the performance of my steam heating system I've got a couple prototype sensors built and am getting ready to actually bring up the custom hardware (so far I have been prototyping using off the shelf modules).
Anyway, off to fight more with re-installing Windows 10 after what appears to be a failing SSD. Hopefully I'll have time to write up more info on this at some point in the near future.
