But it would also improve the digestion and even more. Matthiolus further advised to brush your teeth with fresh sage leaves, in order to keep them strong and clean. And there have been several medieval people who said that sage would improve the senses and the mind. North American Indians burnt the plant to keep evil spirits away. Even now, sage is commonly used in the kitchen and it is also often used for its nice odour.
