Hey geminauts, still alive over here. The new job has been kicking my ass.
I've been putting off pushing an update to MoonGem until I can get a test suite situated. I would at the very least like to have a .gmi documents and 'expected output' files set up for each of its major features, so that I can run tests automatically in its CI pipeline. The software is usable as-is imo, but I want to convert this gemlog to use its new syntax before I go live with it. Thankfully the new syntax is much nicer in my opinion.
I started reading A Country of Ghosts, by Margaret Killjoy.
I enjoy her writing style, and I'm glad to see more of her work since her podcast has slowed down somewhat.
Two months ago I bought a two-part set of the autobiographies of Emma Goldman, which I have been meaning to get around to reading. Hopefully I can find the energy to dig into them soon.
I resumed my second run through Dragon's Dogma a week or so ago, to take my mind off of work. I really enjoy the difficulty spike that its DLC dungeons added, especially considering how easy it is to cheese through most of the game. The amount of variation in styles of play keep it pretty interesting. It's such a disappointment how small the game feels after the first play though.
I also did another month-long stint in Old School Runescape. I got my character leveled up considerably, and enjoyed focusing a lot of time on questing. It's amazing how huge such an otherwise dated game feels. The energy of the community is something to behold as well, despite its sweatiness.

Hope everyone's staying safe and warm out there. Nice to hear that Solderpunk is alive still. I need to set up my rss-based mailing list server to start pulling from gemlog feeds so that I can keep up with what y'all are writing.
