I drove to campus, and when I got there I realized I had left my horse and dog there. Spent all day running around the factory/barn where I was keeping the dog. Didn’t get anything done because I was so worried about how I was gonna get my horse, car, and dog home at the end of the day.

I was at a church event in the evening with my aunt and mother. The lighting was warm and low. In the vast room the left side had risers for audience and a preacher in front. There were lots of pamphlets with bible verses. Not only the programs they give you, but so many more. The right side of the room had grand windows from floor to ceiling with beautiful treatments.
Half way through mingling with my companions, my now estranged father walked in and stared out the window. His eyes were puffy. He did not come to talk with me, because he knows he’s not supposed to. He was looking out the window in the particular way that he does when he drinks his morning coffee. I always found that disarming. It undid me.
